Sandhill cranes dropping in, Bosque del Apache NWR, Nov, 23, 2017.

 Starting just before sunset the cranes flew in from their feeding grounds to roost on the entry lakes for the night. It was a calm, clear evening and they came in from all directions, high and low, "parachuting" in.
