Back home, December in New Mexico

 I waited too long to pick these apples.
 Winter has arrived, Dec 15.
 Ferruginous hawk at 2 Peaks, 12/16.
 Western screech owl in Santa Fe, 12/23.
And a Ladder-backed woodpecker.
