Driving across Missouri last spring I saw my first Black racer in a plowed corn field, beautiful.
I spent a lot of time stopping to help box turtles across the roads. Really sad to see all the mortality's.
Its a long way across these roads for a slow tortoise.
I found many Cricket frogs (Acris crepitans) in the stream beds with their unusual markings.
