South Mountain (Maricopa Co., AZ) Chuckwalla

This is a unique form or color morph of the Common chuckwalla, only found on the South Mountain Range, south of Phoenix.

Coyote with Chuckwalla

This coyote just caught himself a fat chuckwalla. Its on the ground behind his tail in this photo.
I don't know how he/she caught it because CWs are fast. This coyote was pretty tuckered out and took a power nap.
