 First ducklings of the year for me, Corte Madera, 4/20.
 Common (but elusive)Yellowthroat, 4/21.
 Coyote pair with a large snake, (visible at hind leg of coyote on left) It was quickly dispatched and eaten by that coyote. Not a trace left. Lucas Valley, 4/22.

Some highlights from April trip to Northern California.

 This Long-tailed weasel popped out of a gopher hole on Bolinas Mesa, 4/22. Only after seeing the photo did I notice that his left ear was missing!
 It was a real treat to find this male Pileated woodpecker hammering away among the bays and oaks in suburban SanVenetia, 4/23.
 And another treat to find 5 Black Oystercatchers on the rocks at Kehoe beach, Pt Reyes, 4/25.
